Host Only – Black

Even though your space is inviting and open, there’s usually one or two things you don’t want guests to mess with.
…like the cupboard where you keep linen and supplies to help set up for the NEXT guest
…the wifi router gear
…a room where you keep your own stuff

A friend who’s also a host told me that she went to do the cleaning / changeover at her place once to find that the last guest had (presumably accidentally) turned off their automated pool filter system.  Now the pool was going green and there was a new guest expected to arrive that afternoon!

We once had a guest call to tell us that they couldn’t get the TV or sound system to work, and another occassion when a guest didn’t call, but instead just left us a bad review about the same situation.  In both cases it seemed that a prior guest had fiddled with cables to plug in their own gear.   Of course there’s no way our cleaner would have spotted that someone had shifted a cable, so this and other issues like them just become a problem you find out about too late…

…so I made a couple of these little signs and my friend and I haven’t had the issues since.
They are small enough to easily stick on the corner of a drawer, the back of the TV or router, or on a power outlet.
They are hard-wearning enough to handle the outdoors or a humid pool-filter room.  All have 3M adhesive on the back, so are easy to stick to almost anything, though one even has holes so that it can be screwed onto rough surfaces like an outside gate.

The little square signs are 23x23mm

The long ones are 70mm long, and either 10 or 15mm tall.
